In an interview with The First News Anna Maria Anders, Polish Senator and Secretary of State for International Dialogue, shares her thoughts on the agreement between US-based gas company Port Arthur LNG and PGNiG (the Polish Oil and Gas Company) signed during the World Gas Conference in Washington, D.C. 

According to the 20-year contract, from 2023 Poland will import 2 million tonnes of LNG per year. It will lead to energy diversification not just in Poland, but also in the region. 

Anna Maria Anders is a senator and the secretary of state at the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, responsible for international dialogue. She is the daughter of Gen. Władysław Anders, a World War II hero and a member of the Polish Government in Exile after the war.
