America matters to Poland. Home to so many of the Polish diaspora, during the long years of communism America was a shining beacon of freedom, opulence and opportunity. Dorota Dąbrowska, Managing Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, grew up in Texas, but from the moment she visited Poland as a 10-year old, she was hooked. When many in Poland wanted to escape the country, she was determined to move to it. A chance meeting gave her the opportunity to do just that and she's never looked back.
