Temperatures crash to -33 in north-east Poland

Temperatures fell to as low as minus 33 degrees Celcius in north-eastern Poland on Sunday night, as the country battles a bout of severe winter weather.

Forecasters warn that the Siberian weather system will arrive in Poland on the 18th January, causing a record drop in temperature, the likes of which have not been seen since the year 2000.

Ice that looks like human HAIR spotted on rotting tree

Although the Hair Ice is brittle, it forms curls and waves that can make it look like soft human hair. The rare sighting was made near the town of Hajnówka close to the border with Belarus.
