The Food Trends 2022 report commissioned by delivery service Pyszna.pl sets out the most frequently ordered food based on an analysis of over 3.5 million active users of its service, who ordered from over 13,000 restaurants in the largest Polish cities.

The plant-based protein sources market increased by 28 percent last year, which is more than PLN 600 million (EUR 139.9 million), wrote a Polish daily newspaper devoted to business and economic issues on Tuesday.

Two years ago Warsaw entrepreneurs Igor Sadurski and Rafał Czech launched a crowdfunding initiative to open a business selling plant-based meat substitutes. Now their online shop stocks a full range of vegan charcuterie, from juniper kiełbasa to pepperoni. They also offer a grill package for the barbecue, with vegan burgers, bacon, gyros and kebab.
