France Football names Lewandowski striker of the year

Polish national team and Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has been named Striker of the Year by France Football magazine.

No one has managed to topple Gerd Müller in almost half a century, but if anyone can it's Robert LewanGOALski!

Currently Lewandowski has scored 39 league goals for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, breaking the record number of goals for a Polish player in a season. If he scores one more in tomorrow’s match he equals the near half-a-decade record. If he scores two he takes the record!

Polish soccer star Robert Lewandowski has been named UEFA Men's Player of the Year for the 2019/20 season, beating short-listed finalists German goal keeper Manuel Neuer and Belgium's Kevin De Bruyno.
