Composed of over 3,000 elements with figurines to imitate how a living audience would absorb sound, to test the acoustics, sound was played at a frequency 10 times higher than usual to shorten the sound waves so that they would reverberate in precisely the same manner as those in the completed hall.
Visitors to rural stretches of the River Odra will be able to absorb the sounds of nature this summer thanks to shell-like ‘sound-benches’ that will enhance all of mother nature’s chirping, tweeting, croaking and singing.
