A January-introduced retail sales tax will bring the Polish state budget at least PLN 1.5 billion (EUR 320 million) in revenues a year, the Polish finance minister said on Thursday.

Polish retail tax compatible with EU laws, CJEU spokesperson says

The Polish tax on retail sales and the Hungarian tax on advertising do not infringe upon EU laws with regard to state aid, advocate general for the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) Juliane Kokott said in an opinion issued on Thursday.

Poland suspends retail tax for another six months

The Sejm (lower house) on Thursday passed an amendment to the law on the retail sales tax prolonging the suspension of the tax until July 1, 2020.
