An MP who quit one of the junior parties in Poland’s United Right governing coalition after disagreements over government economic policy has been appointed as the head of the new sports ministry.
Polish President Andrzej Duda appointed new ministers for the reshuffled Mateusz Morawiecki cabinet on Tuesday afternoon, except for the planned new education and science minister, Przemyslaw Czarnek, who has contracted coronavirus.
President Andrzej Duda on Wednesday appointed Zbigniew Rau as the new foreign minister and Adam Niedzielski as the new health minister. Rau replaces Jacek Czaputowicz, while Niedzielski takes over for Łukasz Szumowski.
