Volunteering to work in the camp’s hospital as a midwife, she set about defying its murderous intent by bringing life to thousands of babies. Now, using intimate family accounts, records and photos, her great-niece Maria Stachurska, who is mother of successful sports trainer Anna Lewandowska, is turning the incredible story into a powerful new documentary.
