Poland's main opposition grouping has filed a proposal for a constitutional change that would makes it possible for the country to leave the EU only with the backing of a two-thirds majority in parliament or through a referendum.
Arkadiusz Czartoryski has rejoined the ruling Law and Justice parliamentary caucus giving it the 231 MPs it needed to keep a majority in Poland's lower house of parliament, party leader Jarosław Kaczyński announced on Wednesday.
The majority enjoyed by Poland’s governing party in the country’s lower house of parliament is under threat after one of its MPs announced he was leaving the party and that others might follow him.
