Poland has opened five additional clearance lanes for lorries carrying goods to and from Ukraine at the border crossing in Korczowa, the head of the Prime Minister's Office has announced.
The Polish interior minister along with his counterparts from France and Germany have established an informal team that will provide assistance to refugees from war-torn Ukraine.
At Korczowa, the only open border crossing point in the southeastern Podkarpackie province, trucks are waiting for 30 hours to enter Ukraine, while the flow of passenger cars is minimal, the Polish Border Guard has informed PAP.
