London uncovered: app reveals the stories and places behind Poland’s government-in-exile

Presented via an interactive map, the app was created with the purpose of returning a largely overlooked chapter of Polish history to the public’s conscience. kul.pl

Created by a Lublin-based team, the dual-language app guides users through 15 locations connected to the government-in-exile that was formed following the outbreak of WWII.

Entitled ‘Fajna Ferajna w Indiach’ (Brave Bunch in India) and based on a true story, the film which premieres at Kraków Film Festival today follows the fate of 1,000 children deported to Siberia in 1940 and their eventual rescue after a surprising intervention from India.

Using data taken between 2005 and 2019, the map shows that Germans top the table when it comes to tourism while the Brits come second.
