The Polish, Ukrainian and Lithuanian infrastructure ministers discussed ways to remove infrastructure barriers that hinder the development of the region at the Europe of the Carpathians conference that started in Krasiczyn, south-east Poland, on Saturday.
Poland has been making efforts to secure several hundred million euros from the EU's Cohesion Policy for 2021-2027 for new gas infrastructure, arguing that such investments will drastically reduce CO2 emissions, PAP was told by a deputy minister for funds.
The value of all investments carried out under Poland's 100 Ring Roads Programme 2020-2030 is estimated at PLN 28 bln (EUR 6.55 bln), Infrastructure Minister Andrzej Adamczyk said at a press conference on Saturday.
