A team of hackers with ties to the Belarusian regime, and whose actions were part of a campaign known as Ghostwriter, is likely responsible for the hacking of email accounts used by current and former Polish government officials, a US cybersecurity firm has said.
Poland’s Internal Security Agency has determined that the hacker campaign dubbed “Ghostwriter” had also penetrated the email accounts of MPs, a spokesman for the Polish security services chief said on Friday.
US-based cybersecurity firm Mandiant has told PAP that they have uncovered numerous activities against Poland within the framework of the 'Ghostwriter' operation, confirming earlier findings of the Polish services.
