A group of 46 ambassadors and international diplomats in Poland have signed an open letter expressing their support for the country’s LGBTQI community.
The Malopolskie province, southern Poland, has appointed a commissioner and a council for equality and family rights as a response to a call from the European Commission to annul a so called anti-LGBT declaration or face the possibility of losing EU funding.
The City Council of Poznan, western Poland, signed the European Charter for Gender Equality on Tuesday. The charter, launched in 2006, commits local and regional governments throughout Europe to using their powers to achieve greater equality for their people.
