European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at a debate in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday that EU member states have varying starting points on the path to climate neutrality, citing Poland, which still relies on fossil fuels.
European Council President-elect Charles Michel came to Warsaw on Tuesday to discuss with Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki a range of issues, including the next EU budget and climate policy, before he assumes office on December 1.
