The fragments of the V-2 rocket, short for Vergeltungswaffen 2, which translates as Retribution Weapon 2 and was the world’s first long-range guided ballistic missile, were found near the village of Niwiska.
The entrance was found during a search of the area in northeast Poland using geo-radar. It has long been thought that the bunker complex, which lies close to where Hitler had his Wolf’s Lair HQ, could contain many WWII treasures, including the Amber Chamber.
