How smells can define cities…

One of the ways we can perceive and define a city is by the way it smells. New research spotlights historical smells and – more importantly – what was done about them, in the Polish city of Lublin.

Monte Cassino veteran and friend of Wojtek the bear dies aged 95

Ludwik Jaszczur, who was originally from the village of Blizne in Podkarpacie, died on Monday at his home in Edinburgh, Scotland.
