Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland will restart its plants in south-western Poland on May 4. Both plants have been closed owing to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic.
The Toyota factory in Jelcz-Laskowice, southwestern Poland, will begin production of 1.5 Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) engines in April, announced President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland (TMMP) Dariusz Mikołajczak on Thursday.
The production of a 2.0-litre petrol engine for hybrid drives was launched at the Toyota factory in Jelcz-Laskowice, southwestern Poland, on Tuesday.
The new investments will bring Toyota’s total investment in Poland to EUR 1.2 billion.
