The project, which is due for release in March, dates back to 2013, when Portishead was playing at the Sacrum Profanum festival in Nowa Huta, Kraków. The promoter suggested that Gibbons could sing the “Symphony”.
The Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Krzysztof Penderecki, performed in China in October. After eight concerts, Warsaw's Symphony musicians will now set off to South Korea and will play two concerts on November 10 and 11 in Usan and Seoul.
