Figures released by Eurostat show that in 2020 some 502,300 permits were handed out, amounting for 22 percent of all first permits issued inside the EU.
The number of Ukrainians with a residency permit in Poland has exceeded 250,000, the Office for Foreigners (UdSC) has reported.
Data released by EuroStat shows that Poland handed out 724,000 residency permits which accounted for a whopping 25 percent of the total permits issued by EU members.
The 87 percent of resident permits in Poland where granted together with work permits.
Over 50,000 foreigners applied for a residence permit in Poland in the first quarter of 2018, 11 percent more than in the same period in 2017, the Office for Foreigners announced on Monday. Most of the applications were filed by citizens of Ukraine.
