Tour de Pologne director and former TdP winner, Czesław Lang, said it is important to connect the race to history and that sport should be “an educational tool to remind us of where we came from, so we can move forward through life in the right direction.” BettiniPhoto

Started in 1928, the race took place five times before WWII broke out. It resumed in 1947 and is now part of the UCI World Ranking and one of the most important races in Eastern Europe.
