On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence, Pope Francis sent a letter to Poles in which he declared that he was praying for Poland to enjoy the gift of freedom in unity and peace.
President Andrzej Duda said that during his meeting with Pope Francis, both parties discussed the need for the EU to return to mutual respect in relations between states, as well as respect for the cultural diversity that exists in the individual countries.
