Polish oil and gas company PGNiG and Norwegian oil exploration firm Aker BP have discovered new reserves of oil and gas in the Norwegian Sea, PGNiG announced on Friday.
PGNiG Upstream Norway, a subsidiary of Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG), has discovered a 19-63-million-barrel crude oil deposit at the Egyptian Vulture exploration well in the Norwegian Sea, the company said in a Tuesday press release.
Poland's oil and gas giant PGNiG obtained four production licences on the Norwegian continental shelf, while Poland's second biggest fuel company Lotos gained three during the annual licensing round held by the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.
