The Polish government has no plans at the moment to veto EU projects in order to pressure the European Commission into unlocking Poland’s access to billions of euros in EU pandemic-recovery funding, finance minister has said.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said he does not believe the EU will withhold billions of euros from the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2021-2027 for Poland over rule-of-law concerns.
The funds that Poland expects to receive from the European Union will be able to start working in the economy by as early as the first quarter of 2021, Deputy Prime Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz said on Tuesday during a press briefing.
