German automotive company Mercedes-Benz will launch the production of electric car batteries at its plant in the Polish south-western town of Jawor in October
Production is expected to begin in mid-2020, reaching around 100,000 batteries a year. The investment, worth around 100 million euros, is expected to create some 200 jobs, according to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
While cars still lead the way in luxury items, clothing is gaining ground as a close second.
A Mercedez-Benz engine factory being built in the southern town of Jawor is to create 1,000 jobs. The investment, valued at EUR 500 million, is scheduled for completion in 2019.
