The festival was first held in 2009 as part of the city’s campaign to become Europe’s Capital of Culture in 2016. A firm hit with the public, it’s been continued ever since breaking only last year due to the pandemic.
A resurgence of neon lights has inspired city councillors to show that Katowice is creating beautiful things and showing how design, tradition and art have been drivers in the development of the post-industrial profile of the city.
The 11th edition of the spectacle will be a drive-thru event along a 5km course consisting of 12 zones.
