Poland's national air carrier LOT has resumed direct flights to India after many years, LOT CEO Rafał Milczarski has announced. On Wednesday, a Polish LOT Dreamliner left for New Delhi, which is LOT's sixth Asian destination.
The carrier stands to lose USD 200 million according to findings made by analysts.
With new destinations and more people using it as a transfer hub, the city’s main airport is pulling in the travellers.
PLL LOT, on Monday, inaugurated its Warsaw-London City connection. Due to a short runway and a steep approach angle at the London City (LCY) airport, LOT has acquired four Embraer 190 passenger planes to specifically handle connections to LCY.
Establishing the Group fits the government’s broader Strategy for Responsible Development, which includes developing the company’s aviation sector, among others.
