The Pionier cinema in Szczecin which began operating in 1909 was facing closure after its owner announced his retirement.
Warsaw’s Relax cinema, which when built was the modernist cinema in the capital boasting a string of premieres and state-of-the-art features, has been saved from destruction after the regional conservator of monuments stepped in saying the building has “artistic, historical and scientific value.”
