Polish local governments posted a PLN 1.70 bln (EUR 376 mln) deficit in 2019, several times lower than the PLN 18.43 bln (EUR 4.07 bln) planned for last year, the Finance Ministry said in its final report.
Poland received EUR 383.35 million from EU funds in November 2019, including EUR 87.8 million in current transfers and EUR 295.55 million in capital transfers, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The Sejm (lower house) on Thursday passed an amendment to the law on the retail sales tax prolonging the suspension of the tax until July 1, 2020.
