Back of the net! Poland to host U-20s World Cup

The fifth European country to organise the FIFA U-20 World Cup, Poland was chosen after beating off competition with its 3,300-page-long application weighing 17kg.

Will Poland be ready for the World Cup after a draw with Chile?

Just one last friendly game awaits the Polish National Football Team before they depart for Sochi and the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia. On June 12th, they will face Lithuania in Warsaw, before flying east the day after. The friendly match with Chile, held yesterday in Poznań, ended with an unsatisfying 2:2 draw.

Poland prepares for World Cup challenge

Football fans around the globe are counting down the days until one of the greatest sporting spectacles on Earth — the FIFA World Cup. And Poland is one of the 14 hopeful European nations getting ready for their campaign at the tournament, to be held this year from June 14 to July 15 in the Russian Federation.
