The participation of President Joe Biden in a summit of countries on Nato’s eastern flank is a sign of the USA’s engagement in the security of the alliance’s eastern border and of transatlantic ties, a Polish presidential official has said.
The subject for discussion among the defence ministers of the Bucharest Nine countries making up the eastern flank of NATO will be their contribution to increasing the alliance's defence and deterrence capacity. The meeting will be led by Mariusz Błaszczak.
Cooperation between the nine countries of NATO's eastern flank works, functions well and brings benefits not only for our part of Europe but for the whole alliance, Polish President Andrzej Duda said on Friday.
