Volunteers make hundreds of pouches for baby kangaroos orphaned by Australian bushfires

In Katowice, in south-western Poland, a group of women have been sewing pouches for kangaroos orphaned in the bushfires. ARCCG Polska/Facebook

To coordinate their efforts, the women volunteers set up the Animal Rescue Collective Guild Craft Poland on Facebook which now has over 1,000 members. To date they have sent over 300kg of pouches and blankets to help the orphaned animals.

Poznań’s 19th century Pl. Kolegiacki returned to its former glory as part of movement to reclaim community spaces from ‘carpark hell’
