Maria Dębska stars as ‘rebel’ sex symbol Kalina Jędrusik in powerful new biopic

Telling one year in the life of Jędrusik, the film looks at how the singer/actress struggled with expectations imposed on her by society, which director Katarzyna Klimkiewicz describes as “a universal topic and always up to date. Each of us has to face what is considered appropriate for sex, age, etc. Kalina was in the spotlight, adored and hated, she experienced these dilemmas in extreme form.”

Rare WWII tank ‘worth a fortune’ salvaged from Kielce river after disappearing 78 years ago

Stories of heavy armour lost in the Czarna Nida river have circulated for decades following a ferocious battle in the Bielecki Młyny area towards the end of WWII. Now, described as an ‘absolute rarity’ the Bergepanther tank which has been remarkably well-preserved could be worth a fortune, with a similar Panther tank fetching around 15 million euros in Germany just two years ago.
