Step into a time slip: Warsaw’s Wola district goes back 90 years

A part of the Warsaw district of Wola is slipping back in time over the weekend with the re-creation of a famous pre-war market.

Anybody strolling down Wola’s Chłodna Street will get to experience Kercelak, a famed market before the war, which will be brought to life by actors in period costumes performing sketches while bands play music evocative of the years sandwiched between the two world wars.

Along with the street theatre and music other attractions include food, an illusionist and policemen on patrol in the uniforms worn over 80 years ago.
