Hay good looking! Poland's annual harvest celebrations are a sight for straw eyes

The epi-centre of harvest celebrations in the Mazovia province, the Polish harvest festival is a centuries-old-tradition called ‘Dożynki’.

The symbol of Dożynki is the harvest wreath made of a mixture of wheat, rye and flowers. Bread is also an important symbolic feature with people sharing it around. The day starts with a mass and ends with traditional dances, concerts, regional cuisine and competitions.
