The Polish tall ship “Dar Młodzieży“ (The gift of the Youth) reached the US west coast on Tuesday where it docked in the port of San Francisco. The Independence Cruise that started in May this year, will continue on Saturday, its next stop being Los Angeles. The aim of the Independence Sail is to celebrate the centenary of Polish independence, regained in 1918 and to promote the country worldwide.During the cruise the ship is to dock at 18 ports, many of them already reached. On Tuesday, the 18th of December the ship opened its deck for visitors in California.
