Ziobro's party would win seats if elections were held - daily

A junior member of Poland’s United Right governing coalition could win seats in parliament as an independent party, if elections were held this Sunday, according to a new opinion poll.
The support for Solidary Poland, led by justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro, could threaten the rule of Law and Justice, the coalition’s dominant force by depriving it of its majority.
In the elections, Law and Justice would receive 25.7 percent of the vote, according to an Indicator survey for the Rzeczpospolita daily.
The main oppositionist grouping, the centrist Civic Coalition, would take 20.3 percent of votes and the independent conservative movement Polska 2050, led by Szymon Holownia, would take 13.2 percent.
But the poll also gave Solidary Poland 5.4 percent.
"The most important news for the United Right is that Zbigniew Ziobro's Solidary Poland would take 5.4 percent, which gives it independent access to the Sejm," Rzeczpospolita writes.
The Left would receive 8.6 percent of the vote, and the far-right Confederation 6.5 percent.
Kukiz 15 on 3.4 percent and Jaroslaw Gowin's Agreement party on 2.8 percent, would not achieve the necessary number of votes to cross the election threshold of 5 percent.
The poll was carried out on December 17-22, 2020, on a representative sample of 1,000 adult Poles.
