WSE's WIG index sets new all-time record

WIG, the oldest index on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), rose by 0.61 percent to its highest value in history on Thursday, closing at 71,431.16 points, the WSE reported.

Thursday's high continued the index's record-breaking surge.

On Wednesday, the WIG closed at 70,995.66 points, beating the previous record from Monday.

The WIG was introduced on the WSE's first trading session on April 16, 1991.
