WSE's WIG index sets new all-time record
WIG, the oldest index on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), rose by 0.22 percent to the highest closing value in history on Tuesday, closing at 68,635.19 points, WSE reported.
Earlier in the day, WSE wrote on Twitter that WIG reached a record high of 68,587.97 points already shortly after 9:00 am on Tuesday, rising further to 68,616.1 points around at 11:40 am.
Tuesday was the 5th consecutive record day for the WSE WIG.
WIG was introduced on the WSE's first trading session on April 16 1991.
mWIG40 grew by 0.62 percent to 5,082.77, reaching the highest closing value since July 2007.
