Wrocław to host 42nd European Youth Meeting

The 42nd European Youth Meeting will take place from December 28, 2019 to January 1, 2020 in Wrocław, southwestern Poland, Brother Alois, the head of the event-organising Taize Community, announced on Sunday in Madrid, the site of the ongoing 41st meeting.

Announcing Wrocław as the next European Youth Meeting site, Brother Alois reminded that the city has already hosted the event twice. He added that the meetings aimed to build dialogue irrespective of differences, and stressed that this was what societies needed today.

The present European Youth Meeting is the fifth to be held in Spain. Four previous events have taken place in Poland: Wrocław (1989 and 1995), Warsaw (1999) and Poznań (2009).
