Wrocław to host 11th International Tourism Fair
Close to 170 domestic and foreign exhibitors are expected at the 11th International Tourism Fair in Wrocław, south-western Poland (March 1-3). For the first time, the fair will be located in Wrocław's City Stadium.
On show will be offers by tourist regions, spas, travel agencies and hotels. This year's special focus will be on Wrocław's surrounding Lower Silesia region, especially its historical attractions and cuisine.
Michał Bobowiec from the Lower Silesian authorities, said that by displaying its cuisine at the fair, the region wanted to promote its traditional food as a local trademark.
The fair will be accompanied by a three-day Travellers' Festival, during which globetrotters will recount their journeys to distant parts of the world, among others Macedonia and Cuba. Also planned are thematic workshops and competitions.
