Winter break for all Polish students from January 4-17

A regulation of the minister of education published in the Journal of Laws stipulates that winter holidays for all students during this school year will take place at the same time, from January 4 to January 17, immediately after the Christmas break.
The amendment to the regulation introducing temporary restrictions on the functioning of the educational system is designated as a means to prevent, counteract and combat COVID-19. It was signed by Education Minister Przemyslaw Czarnek on Friday.
On Wednesday, the minister of education signed an ordinance extending, with certain exceptions, limitations on the functioning of stationary schools to January 3. According to the school year calendar, students will continue remote schooling until December 22. There will be no classes in schools from December 23 to January 3, due to the Christmas break.
The amendment to the regulation comes into force on November 30, 2020.
