Winners of InCredibles comp announced

The latest winners of the InCredibles competition, a contest that gives the winning companies access to mentors, financiers and an opportunity to grow, were announced in Warsaw on Wednesday 2nd October.

The Polish companies who were chosen out of the 700 entrants included Wiperapp, Prosoma and SolHotAir.

"The main principle of our programme remains unchanged. We give our InCredibles access to the best mentors, practitioners, specialists in all areas related to running a business. We put special emphasis on practical aspects of creating and running a business. This is our contribution to building a competitive and modern start-up ecosystem, " Sebastian Kulczyk, creator of the competition said.

The winning companies will now take part in a round of workshops in Warsaw with business leaders that will include a session with Zev Siegl , co-founder of the Starbucks cafe network. 

 When announcing the winners, Jarosław Sroka from Kulczyk Investments said that after individual workshops in Warsaw, the companies 'will fly to London for further meetings with mentors, potential investors and clients and in November we will go to the Slush conference, where 20,000 people are ready to hear about these Polish companies.'Piotr Nowak/PAP

Wiperapp is a program designed for irreversible hard disk data wipe out. The application complies with requirements of the FBI, CIA and other international bodies as well as following NIST standard (The National Institute of Standards and Technology). Therefore it can be used not only by private individuals but it can also be successfully used in companies and state institutions. The service is invaluable in the time of GDPR (known in Poland as RODO).

Prosoma Digital Therapeutics uses virtual reality (VR) therapy for cancer patients who are suffering from the psychological effects of the diagnosis and treatment. The project brought a team of international experts together including senior doctors practicing in Portugal, Holland, America and the UK.

SolHotAir sells high-performance solar heating panel. They have created their own innovative technology that enables efficient heat generation by converting solar energy into thermal energy in air collectors. The panels can be mounted on walls or roofs of buildings or as part of autonomous solar dryers for drying biomass such as crops like cereals and hops, fruit, mushrooms, herbs or even coffee.

“This is the third edition of our acceleration programme targeted at the most innovative, promising entrepreneurs. We offer them access to the best mentors, potential investors and clients. We strive to provide the best knowledge on every aspect of business from accounting to HR. To start with a series of individual workshops for them in Warsaw, then we will fly to London for further meetings with mentors, potential investors and clients and in November we will go to the Slush conference, where 20,000 people are ready to hear about these Polish companies,” Jarosław Sroka from Kulczyk Investments, said when announcing the winners.

The latest three winners will be joined in Helsinki at Slush by five other Polish start-ups who won this year’s European Start-up Days in Katowice; Bioceltix, Hyper Poland, MakeGrowLab, ProperGate, Salesbook and QNA Technology. In 2018, Slush had 20,000 attendees, with over 3,100 start-ups, 1,800 investors and 650 journalists coming in from over 130 countries to participate together in this global networking festival.

The first edition of InCredibles took place in 2017 and from the 426 entrants five winners who were chosen include Archdesk, Hotailors, Radionet, Tidio and Userengage. Archdesk used the platform of InCredibles to move into the UK market and now claim to be the number one software for construction companies in the UK. Tidio, a live chat function, has gone on to be used by over 300,000 websites and featured in Forbes and on Fox News.
