Warsaw to host international conference on religious freedom - FM
Warsaw will host international conference devoted to the promotion of religion and faith on July 14-16, Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said in Washington on Wednesday during his ongoing visit to the US.
Czaputowicz was attended a meeting of the Religious Freedom Alliance in Washington on Wednesday, and said that the conference in Warsaw will be organised in cooperation with the US.
The Foreign Ministry said in a communique that the conference will enable wide debate on the challenges facing freedom of religion or faith in a spirit of coherence and complementarity. In the agenda of the event, a number of problems will be discussed, including improvement in the quality of life of persecuted and discriminated communities, promoting social dialogue for greater mobilization and building awareness on the scale of persecution based on religion or belief on a global scale.
The aim of the conference is to emphasize the importance of a strategic partnership between Poland and the United States in striving to guarantee freedom of religion and faith.
