The 35th Warsaw Film Festival will start on Friday afternoon with a screening of an international production "The Barefoot Emperor" directed by Jessica Woodworth and Peter Brosens.

This year's festival will continue until October 20 and is to feature 180 films (short, medium and feature-length) from 63 countries. The organisers have planned dozens of world, European and Polish premieres.

The productions presented at the festival will compete in several categories, including the most prestigious - the International Competition – for feature films (over 60 min.) from all over the world.

The films will be screened at Multikino Zlote Tarasy and Kinoteka cinemas. In addition, meetings with the film-makers will held during every day of the festival.

The festival will be accompanied by industry events, including workshops for young filmmakers (Warsaw Next), workshops for journalists and film critics (FIPRESCI Warsaw Critic Project) and the Doc Lab project addressed to documentary filmmakers.
