Over 84 percent of entrepreneurs believe it is necessary to start resuming the frozen economy, of which particular individual areas have been closed by government decisions amid the coronavirus epidemic, according to a study by the Business Center Club (BCC).

According to the president of BCC, Marek Goliszewski, the recession in the economy is spreading faster than coronavirus in society and the cost of the current slowdown in the economy stands at PLN 7-8 billion (EUR 1.5-1.7 billion) per day.

The study showed that the key restrictions that should be immediately abolished concern mainly the services and trade sectors.

Such an opinion is expressed by 65.8 percent of people working in hairdressers, cosmetics salons and tattoo parlours; 54 percent of them pointed to limiting the operation of shopping centres.

Also, 51.3 percent of people claim the restrictions should be limited in the number of customers staying at the same time in a store, market or post office, 46.1 percent referred to the limitations in the activities of hotels and other accommodation places, 44.7 percent of the them referred to closing large-area construction stores at weekends, another 42.1 percent of people referred to the sector of restaurants, cafes and bars, and 40.8 percent referred to limiting the hours in commercial outlets available only for people of age over 65.

According to entrepreneurs, sales should be restarted as soon as possible (to a limited extent, for example to introduce an entry limit) in shopping malls. In addition, they expect the restoration of the availability of hotels, accommodation and meals when travelling on business, business trips and for groups working on the assembly of technological lines or constructions.
