Vaccinated people to be exempt from any new restrictions – health minister
If restrictions to stem the spread of Covid-19 are reintroduced in Poland, they will not apply to fully vaccinated people, the health minister said on Wednesday.
Adam Niedzielski was asked on Polsat News, a private TV news programme, whether new restrictions would also be obligatory for vaccinated people. "No, they will not be bound by them," he replied. "It is the safety of those people by choice. They cannot bear the cost of other irresponsible people."
Asked whether people would need to be vaccinated to visit a restaurant or cinema in the autumn, Niedzielski said, "You need to get vaccinated," adding that organisers or restaurant owners would be able to check guests' vaccination status. "They will have the right to check passports or Covid certificates," the minister said.
