US President Joe Biden may visit Poland during his visit to Europe, which will probably take place next week, Reuters has reported, quoting its own sources.

The CNN television station had reported earlier that President Biden was considering heading to Europe next week to hold talks in Brussels on Nato's further steps in connection with the war in Ukraine.

According to Reuters, which quoted three sources, Biden will meet other leaders from the Nato alliance in Brussels on March 23, but the plan may be changed due to the dynamic situation in Ukraine.

According to one source quoted by Reuters, Biden could also travel to Poland, where concerns are running high after a Russian attack on a large Ukrainian base in Yavoriv, about 20 kilometres from the Polish-Ukrainian border, killed 35 people.

White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said that the United States was closely engaged with its Nato partners and European allies and that there had not yet been any final decisions made about the trip.
