US ambassador to Poland comments Fort Trump statement in Bolton's book

“What is a reality is the defense cooperation agreement that both presidents signed. It’s on track and on schedule. There will be more U.S. troops in Poland!” Mosbacher wrote. Marcin Bielecki/PAP

US Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher tweeted on Sunday that the words of former US security advisor John Bolton, who claimed that US President Donald Trump could not recall agreeing to a Fort Trump in Poland, were misleading as the name 'Fort Trump' was never under consideration.

US National Security Advisor John Bolton wrote in his recent book "The Room Where It Happened" that Trump confessed to him that he did not remember agreeing to a Fort Trump in Poland.

"This is a misleading statement as the name 'Fort Trump' was never under consideration, that’s why @POTUS (US president - PAP) didn’t focus on it. What is a reality is the defense cooperation agreement that both presidents signed. It’s on track and on schedule. There will be more U.S. troops in Poland!" she wrote.
